Bicycle
Road-e-O
Since 1979 our club has been
co-sponsor with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police of the Rotary -
R.C.M.P. Bicycle Road-e-O which aims to teach youngsters to ride
bicycles safely, observing applicable regulations. Every year we
get anywhere between 120 and 350 kids vying for top honours and prizes. While
participants are from Kindergarten age to Grade 6 level, the primary
focus is on the Grade
3 students. R.C.M.P. officers visit all Grade 3 classes in the
area and talk about bike riding safety. The Bike Road-e-O is a big
hit
with children and parents alike. Here are a few shots of some of
the sillier moments.
